Renewable energy is the process of harvesting energy from naturally sustainable elements. The sun, the wind, and the plants are all examples of renewable energy. Other types of renewable energy include hydropower (water) and biomass (plants). Hydroelectric dams harness the power of flowing water to convert into electricity. Biomass refers to the organic matters that make up plants. Biomass can be used to make fuel and electricity when harvested. Both occur naturally with the sun’s help and are renewable.
With advances in collecting and using renewable energy comes security. There is security in job growth and the comfort that our future generations will not run out of energy.
